My sense is that the believers are currently facing a whole load of cognitive dissonance. They’ve expended a lot of energy dismissing healthy scepticism as “conspiracy theory” right the way through the covid “crisis”, and the sense is that they’ve backed themselves well and truly into an uncomfortable corner now and they sort of know it but are too embarrassed to admit it. |
