Such bizarre and anomalous capitulations - and the Corbyn/Milne one was pretty epic - always make me wonder about whispered threats from the all-knowing security/surveillance state. The drug cartels are known for threatening families, and ethically there's nothing to distinguish western states from such organizations. Everyone has vulnerabilities.
