'Mohammad Moqbel, a 16-year-old Palestinian boy, is sitting in pretrial detention at Israel's Megiddo prison recovering from surgery. Israeli forces detained and beat him in Arroub refugee camp, near the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, on November 29. An Israeli soldier hit Mohammad in the face with a rifle stock, breaking his jaw. After two interrogations without a family member or lawyer present, Israeli forces transferred Mohammad to a hospital where doctors operated on his jaw.
