"only maximum of 15% of genetic variation occurs between racial groupings, while 85% variation happens within groups (ie if you compare genetics between two people of the same racial grouping and two people from widely separated ethinicity, only up to 15% of diversity is accounted for by the latter."
"The colour of my skin is not a myth..the Japanese continuing to ferment yeasts in their stomachs is not a myth..the inability of many Africans to digest bovine milk is not a myth..my own "small pores" and high sensitivity to u.v light is not a myth..you may prefer "ethnic identity" but genetics is genetics"
The differences I refer to may partake of "only" the 15% but you dissemble Burt for if you are; importing alcohol to Japan, running a dairy farm in Africa or planning a trip to the Sahara (et.al), these are the important differences and crucially they are also the differences by which the subsets of the set called the human race identify both themselves and each other, these differences (being environmentally dependent), also identify the subsets geopolitically..this cannot be denied...If "ethnic identity" is preferable then I bow to instruction (I might prefer "cultural" identity in this regard for there is no doubt that the variances I refer to are central to such), this 15% does (I assume), also include skin colour and other features specific to the subsets and again variances in physical characteristics (also of-course essentially environmentally dependent), define groups...
