It's due to the climate you might say. It's the ancestry of the locals. Ergo, it would be surprising if any crime were committed mainly by folk of other hues. It would not be surprising if most were "white" - therefore it's a non-story, or as much of a story as "most table lamps are indoors". The story about Asian pervs targetting non-Asians specifically - that's another, a different story. This "but most pervs are white" story only detracts from the crimes of these others. Behind this I see what I've pointed out here before: treating the crimes of different ethnicities differently, aka, racism. On face of it the racism here would be against white people, but, people having their shadows, I suspect beneath that lurks the more well-known and today well-repressed kind. Just speculating there. The "far-right" canard - not that they don't exist - from the likes of the Guardian and the sectarian post-Chrisian left has increasing become a way to shut down the conversation. A posh "shut up".
