    It's not complicated. Nobody was saying the rape committed by muslims should be treated any differently to any other rape except for tommy robinson and co (i saw no protests by him outside churches, non-muslim grooming drug gangs or against the EDL (which if you think about it was sort of a grooming gang)) - i'm all for prosecuting the #### out of groomers and paedophiles generally regardless of their ethinicity or religion - the crime is the crime - their origin doesn't come into it - again, the only people who thought it did were tommy robinson and co.

    That the muslim community is somehow inherently more likely to commit these acts was the main contention of the myth, based on the inaccurate use of statsitics (plus all their islamophobia) - the statistics in the report (and previous data) show comprehensively that this is bollocks - this doesn't then make me want to do the same logical fallacy as waxy lemon man and say there's something inherently bad about white people because they groom more proportionally - that would be stupid (i don;'t believe any group of people are inherently anything).

    If you can't see the need to correct such blatant and dangerous propaganda about an ethinic/religious community there's something wrong with you - this set of myths has had many real world scary results for many muslims aruond the country, being the seed of many racist assaults and even mosque attacks.

    My opinion on the original scandal (ie asian grooming gangs not being done for ages), is that it was probably more about class prejudice by the police than sensitivity about racism: ie that the reason action wasn't taken was because the accusers were teenage tearaways from care homes who got up to crimes of their own - if they were nice middle class girls getting groomed, stuff may have happened sooner. I have some experience of this in my childhood - people in care and drug dealers were among my social milleu (scum that i am), and in what i now realise was grooming, creepy drug dealers talking advatntage of some of these underage girls in various ways - the ethnic origin of all these people (we're white) has no bearing on this, except when it can be brought up to help disprove people contending the opposite idea.
