So mothers etc. cannot be kept safe, except by shutting down the whole of society? Have we lost the ability to keep ourselves safe? Have we lost the ability to judge risks? Do we need to have government officials telling us exactly when and where we can step out of the house, who we can meet, what we must do? And, as I've said so often -- do people who ask for more lockdown measures ever work out the consequences? I note this is just brushed aside as being of no importance: "for the sake of gdp or the hospitality industry or whatever". The tens of thousands of extra cancer deaths (to name just one of these whatevers) don't count? |
