Yeah, a lateral flow device was being compared to a pcr test And despite pcr tests being the “gold standard” and the best we have currently, the government can’t give figures for their accuracy. Even PHE admit they can’t give exact figures for their own test, which I guess is a pretty good test. Since posting I have realised that the reason the government can’t tell us is because there are so many different labs, systems, primer, reagents etc. Quality varies between them all. And I guess this is inevitable in the current circumstances.
