    You either believe in free speech, even for charlatans and those who have vested interests... or you don't.

    To equate these people to Holocaust deniers is in my view insulting all round. If they are such charlatans, then their professional qualifications and competence can be challenged and they should be dealt with in that way by debate and discrediting their opinions, and ultimately by removing their certifications and ability to practise and expound these views / theories. Unless there is a blatant act of bigotry, vilification and clear evidence of incitement to physical acts of violence then by and large and irritating though it may be, their views fall into the free speech arena.

    You can of course always know your own mind, ignore what they are saying, not read their output, ridicule them in reply or turn off the channel they are on.

    In my opinion, censorship it is always a dangerous road to go down and many self righteous people are at the moment indulging in their inner reactionary. Even to supposedly 'de-platform' "fascists".

    Besides, there is always the charge then that they are right and being shut up by vested interests on the 'other side' of the argument.
