Just the first stat I looked at - should have spent a little more time.
I've been to cajamarca where Pizarro captured the Inca Emperor Atawallpa, murdered him and his retinue and routed the decapitated army. Just read Atawallpa's predecessor was killed by smallpox. Maybe the infection reduced the incan resistance to murder - joke.
I've also been to Trujillo where the Incas conquered/ massacred the Chimu who in turn overturned the Moche people. All were into human sacrifice including children. Plus ca change.
