| I had the feeling that at least some of the tories slow reactions and incompetence in the pandemic was them hoping for an NHS collapse, which they could then try to leverage into the private sector riding in to the rescue. They probably hoped the same for Serco Test and trace - that didn't go so well - maybe the problem is that some of them actually believe their own propaganda about how amazingly efficient neoliberalism is. They can't be that dense surely? (well ok, they are, but their handlers/corporate masters can't)) - i'm sure the subsequenct contract kickbacks via their mates help salve any ideological confusion |
