The solution was immediately to stamp on certain sectors and corporations (air, water, food, et al) that were weakening people's immune systems in the fight against all infections, not just covid." Phew. If only we'd known. The Cubans have shown the way forward for healthcare by focusing everything on preventative medicine and public health. Given that poverty and ill health are built into capitalism are you suggesting we should have overthrown capital? I'd have to agree, but that does seem a tall order as we can't even do social democracy. Given that we haven't overthrown capitalism, what next? "Capitalists want to extend control to every part of our lives." It's all in the Communist Manifesto, 1848, Marx and Engels. Recommended reading and most definitely not a conspiracy. |
