These funding trajectories overall, like foreign policy do not change much if at all. Perhaps, but that's not quite the same as saying "Nothing [stands] in the way of scientists doing science", if by "doing science" you include self-directed research and "pure science". Corporate control of institutions has a huge and negative impact on how science is done. |
