| I tend to agree with your take on most of the protestors (actual military-trained white supremacists excepted) - but the seemingly contrived absence of the sort of military defence evident in the last BLM protest (and after 6th jan) seems iffy to me (like not scrambling planes on 9/11). The probable coming new patriot act is a motivation that would work for either side of the mainstream political isle there, though abby martin's recent podcast i posted before leans towards figures in trump's lot being largely resposible for the lack of response. Whether that lack of response is evidence for an abortive inept coup attempt by trump and his minions (as abby and becker suggest), or just to keep the politically lucrative model of division going longer i'm not sure. |
