| Fair point (i hadn't read the washington post or much other media on this). But then there's still the memory of the 'business plot' in the thirties where none of the captains of industry supposedly connected to it were done despite it sort of being known about - and that was with fdr in power (this is relying on what smedley butler said about it of course). It's not beyond the realms of possibility that similar people had the same idea, but using one of their own (trump) instead of risking another smedley butler. But i'm inclined to agree with your assessment about coup vs domestic psyop unless anything else comes out. |
