I'd say it really revolves around the decision that the Capitol building would not be protected: who made it and why? And what will be the consequences - if any - for them? Will there be an inquiry and if not, why not? The military training of the rioters and their level of organization is of secondary importance since, if security had been seriously enforced instead of deliberately not enforced, there never would have been rioters inside the Capitol building - organized or not - to begin with and we would not even be having this conversation. Yes, exactly what I thought too. Another question to answer is why, in some shots at least, the police actually opened the gates for the protesters to go through. Also clearly no coup or revolution took place -- not even a real attempt at one; it's amazing it's being described that way by leftist publications. |
