    Independent journalist Richard Medhurst makes the kinds of points that BBC and Guardian journalists are never free to make:

    This is the moral compass and reporting of Western mainstream media.

    Any economic partnership or investments between Russia, China, Iran, Syria, Venezuela is de facto evil with ulterior, malicious motives.

    And when the West destroys countries with bombs and sanctions it's de facto good and sold as "nation building" and "pro-democracy".

    The Western powers operate like the mafia.

    If you don't give them a cut of your resources and business dealings they will demonize you, kill you and take everything– and act like they did you a favour. This is state-organized crime".
