It's not actually a workable thing anyway, locally or internationally. With the youngest at the bottom of the list, they'd be the last to receive an invitation and yet are the first to be out in the community (schools, hospitality etc). By year's end I suspect we'd need a new vaccine to cover New variations, which would mean even if out of lockdowns everything would halt till we went round the carousel again. But the tempering of public opinion to such id systems is an important step for ulterior motive, I think. You don't reach public acceptance of such things in giant steps but by introducing a conversation and a reason which plays to fear and responsibility, then let it simmer. I can see the tempering of thoughts in conversation with others already. That's my concern, and I feel that it's a legitimate one. |
