...but are designed to attract actual voters like the gammon roasters who thus shape policy. Aside from a minority like yourself no one takes non-voting as indicative of protest: more consider it reflecting disinterest, apathy or indifference and its conveniently impossible to form policy around that. Terrible shame: it would of course be much better if, instead of chasing the same little ####wit polity as understudy Tories, Labour instead set out with a vision to refranchise the polity then find out what it actually wanted. Course they won't, which is why they are doomed to ever be the bridesmaid and only be bride if the established manage the utter collapse of the stout party. Reality is a terrible disappointment and best avoided... |
