The noose is getting tighter... On a partly related note I've hardly watched any Redacted episodes since youtube stopped them putting up whole episodes for some reason. Shows the effectiveness of their various tactics for shutting down alt media channels on their platform. You can still watch them in full via the RT website: https://www.rt.com/shows/redacted-tonight-summary/ or via some other fancy gizmos I can't get the hang of, but that adds another layer of things you have to remember. It must be really hurting their viewership figures. I had a look and if you filter the videos by popularity almost all of them are from 2-5 years ago, with several over 100,000 hits and lots around the 60-70,000 mark, including full half-hour episodes. Recent vids of seem to only be picking up 5,000 views max: https://www.youtube.com/user/redactedtonight/videos Maybe part of that is lost interest due to the move away from a live audience format since covid, but it's got to be because of youtube censorship as well... Hopefully they're doing better on other outlets. I |
