Then found that the station toilets were locked. He cast around outside and found a lorry parked hard up against a wall. He nipped between and had a discreet slash but as he finished a torch lit him up. It was the British Transport Police who wanted to know why he was pissing on a BBC outside broadcast van. He explained about the bogs being shut, they took his particulars and he spent several weeks hoping it would be forgotten, then got summonsed. At that point he asked me what he should do in case someone at work saw the court report and decided to do him under the disrepute regulation. I had a think and then said that the only thing he could control was the way work (Social services) found out. A week later he said he'd told his manager, who had taken it really rather well and said that he should be all right as long as the Hull Daily Mail didn't splash it all over the front page.... |
