Paul is dead! And anyway, everyone knows the Tavistock Institute wrote all the Beatles lyrics (with help from famous pop aficionado Theodore Adorno) to destroy the moral backbone of western society to bring in satansim/secularism/communism etc (I have actually read this conspiracy theory, where Adorno is transformed from the marxist curmudgeon/snob who hated modern music (especially jazz) to being responsible for inventing modern pop music - ironically the creators of this conspiracy theory would probably have got on alright with Adorno if they just moaned about modern music and didn't touch on the marxism)
Yes Sgt Pepper's possibly the best album they did (they being George Martin and his engineers ) - but seriously, the production/engineering was as much of the innovation as the tunes imo (I'm sure the lsd helped as well (it usually does)) .
As for containing everything from the next ? decades, I'm not sure there was much in there in the way of funk in there tbh - this could be laid at Ringo's feet ("not even the best drummer in the Beatles") - compare to soft machine of a similar era, who managed to get a bit more white man jazz/funk into their music (more my cup of tea from that era - and the Canterbury sound generally (Caravan, Gong etc))
