I think johnlilburne introduced the concept believing Willem thinks that, but not something I've read him say. Willem imo was skating on thin ice and could have been mistaken for 'virus denial' when this was discussed earlier re Alberta legal case vid. The interviewer of the Alberta vid was gang-ho and leading the interviewee . If you see the second vid produced later it's clear that Patrick King lost his case and $1200 - but this is just legal malarkey imo. https://www.globalresearch.ca/video-patrick-king-the-virus-has-not-been-isolated-no-i-did-not-win-the-court-case-they-do-not-have-the-evidence/5752331 Like I said, the issue is technical - I think it is technically not possible to re-produce the whole genome of the virus because there is also a lot of meaningless rubbish there and the scientists can only rely on recognising shorter strings (no doubt Shyaku can explain this better). Fwiw, in my original post I did mention the cause and effect. Cause - oh dear, you cannot give me the evidence - let us be free then. Death toll - ignore. Caring about general left principles shouldn't stop simply because we are concerned about our own health. It's been an interesting time for that from my perspective, because the left has fully morphed into a faction of the right on issues like human rights, free speech, welfare of the poor etc. Zero compassion for poor people that blame covid measures on their worsening situation and health, because its perceived as denial of covid. It would be good to see examples of this 'left phenomena'. I don't recognise this at all. Sorry. My personal concern has always been that people in general seemed to be unconcerned about the death toll among the elderly and considered 'freedom to shop' (sarc) as more important. Willem in particular introducing this belief in the concept of Barrington Declaration, which imo is right-wing tosh. Most nations have taken an authoritarian stance in this pandemic. The ones that are less authoritarian seem to have either laissez-faire or hypercapitalism system e.g. UK and US. Check their death-toll. The brutality in Oz is/was almost predictable imo. We probably disagree on these, but that's OK : ). |
