I've put up with multiple immediately falsifiable posts which constitute a harm to rational debate. I am not going to be personally smeared.
No doubt the GICS are using this pandemic to further their own ends but there is a faction of capital which is counting the financial benefit either directly (this prior to wave 2 - https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/consumer-affairs/government-saves-600m-state-pension-payments-covid-deaths-surge/) or through the damage it is causing to the state health provider. This faction clearly advocates for a laissez faire attitude towards a disease which disproportionately kills poor, disadvantaged and elderly. Tne same people in London who were worst affected have the lowest vaccine uptake. Qui bono?
From January we were unable to undertake any elective surgery for five months - the backlog is being managed in the private sector. 30% of our nurses have resigned the rest are on their knees.
The vast majority of our current covid ICU admissions are un vaccinated. The only vaccinated patients admitted are immunocompromised and therefore unable to mount an antibody response.
The vaccine carries risk of harm but the excess mortality has fallen since its introduction.
I am still suffering neurological symptoms from long covid. Out of 50 people in my department somewhere between 5 and 10% are similarly or worse affected - this is consistent with larger surveys of patientes with long term symptoms.
Apparently, I'm suffering from mass delusion.
Some might call it real world insight.
