Well Ken, I've often thought you don't indulge in nuance much either, so perhaps in good company! Unfortunately, I remember the things he was saying early on on covid restrictions and ramifications and was shot down for what at the time was mild dissent, not at the idea of covid existing, but more at what the restrictions might do to those already struggling health and welfare wise. Seemed any discussion on those things became largely off limits, and only margo managed to keep on with such discussion, at least for a while. I reached the point where I figured that maybe there werent many on this board struggling too much financially through last year, to be able to relate to concerns of such folk, here, or worse, in the US and even worse in countries reliant on western commerce but poorer. It was mostly a non issue, or a quiet aside. Personally, I appreciated both margo and Willem for saying something on that. The skew from concern for people of poorer places to what we ended up with probably largely to blame for personal concern about health and the acknowledgement covid was killing the middle aged to old in this place instead of somewhere else. My take, do with it what you will. I'm critical of the self centered focus on UK re covid.
