I get the feeling the former 'hulture secretary' is being lined up as the next in line (or thinks he is) - i seem to remember he had some sort of transatlantic support when he was in the running for leader (maybe the BAP types, or someone else who didn't realise what people think of him here). Also, the report handily only looked at the start of the pandemic when they can use the 'it was all new' excuse (even though italy), and not the september and january 'let the bodies pile high' waves which killed most people.
