His gushing over Obama is especially embarrassing. But, he's been pretty consistent in his empathy for nature over the years - After the Goldrush through to Mother Earth, Be the Rain and Monsanto Years, for example. He says it how he feels it - at the time. His is also often a wry, ironic take. If you are looking for heroes, know that they will all let you down. He's not the only one. Dylan, Springsteen. I've been listening to Roger Waters recently. He's good on Assange, the Palestinians. But, I'm sure if I looked hard enough, I could find some stance of his I didn't like.
