It proposes that white working class kids are disadvantaged more than any other group aside from the Roma & travellers. From my reading one of the interesting conclusions as to why this should be are that non white working class ethnic groups do better (ironically...) because traditional (immigrant) ghettoization allows efficient targeting and easier access to focused resources for improvement, whilst the working class white kids are too geographically and rurally widespread to have resources targeted in their direction to in the same way with the same kind of efficiency. What makes the main difference as always is active parental educational participation with their children. Nothing in terms of the state can make up for non motivated parents. It would perhaps be understandable to see children from the immigrant communities who have arrived here for reasons of insecurity being more parentally driven than working class white kids without that background. I thought you were 'slicing and dicing K264'" Now why would I do that? for crying out loud, he's the last Working Class hero in England or summat...and Brexit was the Workers winning the English Revolution or summat...  Yea...it did have an edge of more of the same. |
