    -Lucky she's standing down from Parliament. In the past this kind of line could be sustained by the idea of a threat of "communist" ideological expansion but Russia has so much land mass at 17 million square kilometres, more than one-eighth of the worlds inhabitable land, for relatively few people: just over twice the population of the UK, that only an idiot or a chancer on the make would political gain by pumping fear from a premise that it actually desires expansion...but we are surrounded by her like, not least our own knob-end "defence" minsters who pimp the anti-Ivanovitch line endlessly.

    One wonders how many are indeed just useful idiots and really do think its all about containing Russia and how many are cynical dealers in lies who know the reality is with all that land mass and the mineral gas and oil wealth beneath it, the actual issue is the opposite: to see to the cantonisation of Russia into handy bite-size chunks.
