| I'm not sure how accurate that is really across the population - but it's besides the point - we don't get a vote on the structure of capitalism - most people are ignorant there's even a choice possible (with billions being spent to maintain this ignorance). Blaming the individual seems to go along with the myth that if we just do our individual bit by sorting our recycling etc it will all be ok. Now if we did our individual bit to get together and rise up, that's something else - but we have to fight against 'capitalist realism' for that - not so simple - 'easier to imagine the end of the world' etc. I prefer to blame the manipulators rather than the manipulated. |
