I nearly projectile vomited my breakfast this morning when Ewan McGregor appeared on TV, appealing for support for children in Yemen with images of emaciated kids being spoon-fed by aid workers. The ad was along the lines of "Just £5 will buy enough food to sustain a child for a week" type blather. Hasn't it occurred to you, Ewan, that British bombs and weapons and technical support by the RAF are causing this bloodshed and famine and wholesale carnage? ...... Yes, the one you want five quid to resolve. And it's being perpetrated by one of our closest allies, Saudi, to whom we sell lethal weapons worth billions. Where have you been living, Ewan -- apart from on the air-bed bobbing along on your Los Angeles pool. Martin Bell is another pompous sanctimonious self-regarding media-twat doing similar ads as he struts through peasant villages in his ####ing white suit, looking oh so righteously humble. What a pair of wankers. |
