From 2.5 billion in 1950 to 7.8 billion now. So over 300% in just 70 years. Even if the population growth rate miraculously drops to half the current rate(ie. a "mere" 150% not 300% increase in the next 70 years) we'll pass 19 billion by 2090. And if population increases by just 100% not 300% for the 70 years after 2090 - that'll mean 38 billion humans by 2160 - 140 years from now. How do head-in-the-sand population deniers plan to "fundamentally change society" so as to avert an over-population apocalypse ? By smashing capitalism ?
