I think he was just pissed off that his image was always the hard drinking/partying comic but he toured here and saw how it's done in Glasgow, Manchester and got annoyed that we make him look like a schoolkid when it comes to getting ####ed up. That was a segment for Screen Burn though so he clearly decided to troll the Brits. He tours here quite often, usually to great receptions (although his infamous gig at that festival in Leeds didn't go so well) but a lot of this is tongue in cheek.
