His earlier work stands on its own regardless - for analyses of C20th American foreign policy there aren't much better. He hasn't done much substantial work for a decade or two anyway and if his analyses have gone downhill a bit in his 90s I'll forgive him - he';s an old man (and with a new missus to keep up with). We're all flawed humans - picking over every phrase of the people we admire and then dropping them when they diverge from our expectations a bit is silly. It has no bearing on the usefulness of the propaganda model or the rest of his body of work.
