I note him pre-framing arguments by presumptive cultic terminology: "cis man" "cis folk"...these mean nothing to me. I don't accept them as having any standing, but the main issue are the bogus analogies that are entirely contradictory: "you don't stop being a man if you lose your penis..." apparently... well that's true. Because men are defined by their body and mind and not just by a penis, ergo biological maleness is objective...likewise you would not stop being a woman if you lost your ovaries, but lo and behold he later moves on to tell us that: "women aren't the only people that menstruate..." Really? so who else does? Menstruation requires ovaries...so trans-men we must presume he means...thus we've been magically flipped from a standpoint where his case was apparently that biological gender or birth sex is objectively inherent despite the loss of sexual organs all the way to an entirely subjective notion of "gender" which carries again, a presumption that someone actually is a man merely because they chose to be despite their objective biological gender and organs. As I have already said, its the inability to discriminate between the the objective and subjective that is a serious problem: the above merely illustrates the muddle and contradictions. The other one btw seemed to be a load of waffle about the views of Terry Pratchett on the subject. I don't have any interest in Pratchett so I'll give it a miss, thanks.
