The key is not fatality rate, its fatality rate combined with presymptomatic transmission. Flu can kill when it reaches deep into the lungs, but it is transmitted from the soft palate. It is potentially the worst disease. Don’t take my word for it. Some still recall after a century. - Shyaku |
