I had to show a 15 minute video to my students which went on about how 'they died for our freedom' while talking about WW1 (that's funny I don't recall there being that many freedoms back then). Of course I'd want to remember how people were enthusiastic to fight against fascism, though as far as I know, Churchill wasn't bothered about that stuff (much of which he agreed with), just losing the empire - and then there's all the tories and upper class gits who actually wanted hitler (even up to the king) - are we going to remember what they did too? Anyway I thought it was supposed to be 'never again' not 'lest we forget' - (did we forget the ones in the napoleonic wars yet?)
