Just a little: I think its pretty much been part of the NHS since inception. In health terms its a no-brainer: the greater the uptake the stronger the community protection and the cheaper overall healthcare due to reduced hospitalisation. Well you could look at it that way of course and there's certainly a few panaceas: Statins come to mind which I was suspicious of enough to consider might be pushed more due to pharmaceutical profit than necessity, but I think even they have generally been found in large studies to have generally done what was intended. On the idea of job dismissal for the non vaccinated I'm pretty much against it. Its not exactly a Typhoid Mary situation. The tests are cheap and easy to do and I see no reason why people can't be tested at the beginning of each shift before dealing directly with the public if they really don't wish to take the vaccines.
