Am reading the new yorker article, quite scandalous how two people could screw with the democratic process so much. Depressing that such dirty tricks appear to work, time & time again. Shows the importance of developing what D.Edwards called 'tools of intellectual self-defense' (think it was him, unless he borrowed it from Chomsky) and general critical thinking. That will never be supported by the financial interests though. And it didn't help DE face down those who were going to use the MLMB postings against him & Cromwell. I wonder if they still check in here to make use of the resource they jettisoned...
