He's an entertaining writer with a broad sweep who consequently makes some good points alongside some flawed ones. "Permanently hostile?": that's a definite. "Sexually deviant?"...well, looking at all the present Trans-malarky I can see a point there but of course there's the pretty deep seated orthodox hostility to homosexuality too. As to "Culturally degenerate", I'm of the opinion that "Celebrity Come Dancing" isn't that much worse than the original appalling offering apart from the fact that the punters sowing sequins on their home-made frocks aren't allowed to participate any more... In other words there wasn't really much of a high point to "degenerate" from. |
