"Clearly Scottish justice system is broken..."

I'd never been particularly interested in discovering the identity of the accusers in the Salmond trial: the pursuit seemed a bit prurient, so I hadn't systematically cross reference anything by Craig for that particular purpose with what others were saying elsewhere: which according to the Judge Dorrian is what you would have to do to identify them, so as an exercise last night just to check on the (un)fairness of it all I took a reference from the Kirsty Wark "The Trial of Alex Salmond" hit piece and cross referenced it on Google. within a minute or two I found a "jigsaw" link on an article in the Local Conservative Party website and clearly "discovered" the identity of one of the accusers.

Firstly no individuals writing for these outlets got eight months in jail for providing exactly what Craig was convicted of providing, proving just how selective his prosecution was.

Secondly I finally understood yet another reason for the legal dismissal of the original investigation into Salmond's alleged misconduct as "unfair and tainted by apparent bias": It could hardly be otherwise when one of the accusers was apparently deeply involved in the supposed "investigation" from the very beginning.

Thirdly, it became apparent to me that because of the interweaving of accusers and interlocutors its actually virtually impossible to discuss the actual historical events in the misconduct investigation and trial without revealing these things.

The first crime in this affair as far as I am concerned was the abuse of a law intended to protect the identity of victims of rape and violence by a small coterie of powerful women who used it in pursuit of a political aim as mere "cover" to allow them to operate with impunity.
The second crime was the imprisonment of Craig Murray for merely attempting to report honestly on an important event that had been essentially littered by the actions of its zealous pursuers with near invisible legal tripwires.

Its of course no surprise to find this individual so kindly identified by Kirsty Wark and the local Conservative party: as others involved, all still ensconced in a position of power.
