OT Video: Condemnation of 1398 - Sorcery, Heresy and Transgressive Poetry in the University Archived Message

This is off-topic: I love this channel which puts out some great videos about history of religion, mysticism, occult philosophy and the like. This latest one I thought I'd post as it talks a bit about the students collectively known as Goliards who I hadn't come across (or remembered) before - a quite rowdy bunch (of clergy) - I wasn't aware quite how far back rebellious students went. Most of the video is about use of magic in universities and what we can tell about it by reading the church's list of things that are bad. There's probably better sources on the goliards which actually read out some of the poetry, so maybe I'll post them when I find them. (I'm sure you well-read lot already know about the goliards )

"Sorcery at the University of Paris was condemned in a series of 28 articles on September 19 1398. What might this condemnation reveal to us about the actual theory and practice of illicit magic and necromancy in the middle ages? Here we find the world of the transgressive student Goliard poets, philosophy and theological heterodoxy among the faculty and a wide range of magical practices among both at the medieval University of Paris."
