I posted a response earlier which got lost in the cyberspace . I don't particularly regret it except for the fact that it was a relatively precise answer : ). Ahem. O&G workers get paid relatively well for very hard work and appalling conditions, in some cases. Meanwhile the revenue from O&G sector in Norway is quite a powerful civic tool on a world economic scene - theoretically all Norwegian citizens will benefit: https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2021/8/20/norways-1-4-trillion-wealth-fund-takes-aim-at-oil-companies. Meanwhile you can count on the speculator-parasites who, no doubt, to have a slice of this cake. For the toilers, they end up seeing that most of the current profits will go to O&G oil sector first, as per the article, and secondly they will see the inflation. Mean. We are back to 70s . So, well done Norway O&G workers.
