Let's face it, whoever it is will be terrible but whatever the inverse of schadenfreude is (do the germans have a word for pain at the success of others? I'm sure they must have) would be off the scale if Vacant was PM. Israel would be pleased mind you and they could have some identity cards to play with her being the PM. Sunak has always been whispered about as the heir apparent but they might as well let the city run the country, which is probably not far from how it already is. Instead of laughing at Johnson's reckoning, it's depressing thinking about what comes behind him...so to speak.
