Unfortunately, it would probably need a party to be voted in under the elective dictatorship of FPTP to have any sort of chance to make a substantial systemic change (still a slim chance with our own checks and balances ('yea unto the middle ages' (that's a very british coup quote btw)). This is at least part of the motivation for more socialist end of labour (if they exist) to prefer FPTP i assume. PR has the danger (or advantage to elites) of locking in a false overton window-based 'consensus' of middle ground 'moderate' types, who are anything but moderate as we know. This same quality (built-in protections against socialism/for bland battles around an angstrom of political differences around the so-called centre) is also built directly into the institutions of the EU.
