Ludlum: Fusing Fact & Fiction eg. "Virus kills 6 at Fort Detrick", "Amok shooter kills 5 colleagues at Maryland lab"
Yes Siree - it's a perfect time to revisit Ludlum's supreme, never-more-relevant "Legacy". And his very mysterious/suspicious convenient 2001 death via heart-attack a month after miraculously surviving a house fire. Incendiary stuff.
My L'Boat Subject/title quotes are from The Bourne Legacy - significantly NOT starring Matt Damon and magnificently written and directed by Tony and John Gilroy(how come they're still alive?!)
1) Ludlum's very mysterious/suspicious death in March 2001(yep - he never got to witness or nuttily conspiratorialize about 9/11) - survived mysterious fire at home - but a month later was conveniently killed/snuffed out by an exceedingly natural heart-attack.
See Wikipedia and footnote 12: "The Robert Ludlum controversy: Nephew raises questions about top thriller writer's death":
2) Note that Ludlum wrote the Bourne novels circa 30 years ago - "Legacy" tells how viruses are used to deliver behaviour-enhancing, gene-altering nano-meds. Fort Detrick obviously features prominently. (Still eager to get vaxxed - all you hypodermic fascists..?)
3) Ironically by far the boldest in the Bourne movie series - The Bourne Legacy(Youtube trailer below) - succeeds despite or because of the absence of Matt Damon. And smart Cambridge-grad Brit Paul Greengrass("Bloody Sunday" etc) doesn't direct this one either. The even bolder American Tony Gilroy does - he also wrote the whole darned thing..)
Jeremy Renner plays a co-victim of the CIA's various semi-covert (ergo "conspiracy nut") programs designed to develop and deploy a variety of gene-modifying and behavioural nano-concoctions("meds") with largely unwitting operatives serving as guinea-pigs.
Ludlum's mysterious death - his clearly intelligent nephew doubts official story - "The Australian" (No really !!) From their archives - download it before it "mysteriously" disappears):
