" I see him as a serious source - as against posters saying he's talking rubbish and he's a fool - which indicates they simply don't like what he says because it conflicts with what they have chosen to believe." Well its fairly simple. The US wants Russia removed from the equation and their favoured means are turning back the clock to a Yeltsin era Comprador economy in which "Russia" becomes merely a US controlled source of raw materials or a decentralised version of the same through means of Balkanisation: breaking Russia into easily controlled statelets for the same purpose. The western elite haven't been particularly quiet on this so its not a matter of just "chosing" what to believe when our masters have been frankly somewhat open about it. Aside from the economic sanctions the financial ones were in fact the nuclear option in the attempted destruction of the Russian economy: even sanctioning the Russian State bank and effectively stealing all Russian financial assets held in the west. This was meant to lead to the fall of the government and its replacement with a puppet regime. Like China, Russia is a threat to a Unipolar US controlled world. I'm unimpressed by Kagarlitsky says because he doesn't seem to grasp nor realise the scale of the threat which is the actual removal of Russia as a independent sovereign entity. Do you not agree that this is the case?
