Roger doesn't "dismantle" the CNN stooge at all -- and it's even more apparent when we see the edited version that Smerconish and his CNN hacks put out -- because one would have thought Roger much too savvy and experienced NOT to know the vicious hatchet job they'd do on him. Yet goes ahead with the interview anyway. How naive. And even during the full-length interview (with the exception of when Roger says "bollocks" to Smerconish's propaganda drivel) he's too much the friendly guy, drinking up his interviewer's gushing fawning praise for the band, and turning the exchange into a friendly joshing chat when he really should have been calling out this fraud for the despicable two-faced hack he is. Okay, you say, in that event CNN would never have broadcast a single second of such an interview -- and then look what they DID put out and ask yourself which is the better course? The edited version broadcast has Smerconish in preview calling Roger "a musical genius and a political madman." So is Roger, do you suppose, grateful for 7 minutes of his views mangled and misinterpreted to a mass audience or would it have been wiser to tell Smerconish and CNN to go feck themselves? No, he definitely did not dismantle the CNN hack. I think in hindsight he might regret doing it.
