Gore Vidal - perfect time to refresh memory and (re-)watch "United States of Amnesia" - link below.

    Lest we forget.

So why not enjoy a little Sunday Gore - 1 hour 29 minutes of timely timeless soul nourishment - instead of yer usual blood and gore Sunday roast perhaps...

Directed by the still little-known independent film-maker Nicholas Wrathall who "grew up in Australia" but is apparently based mostly in Los Angeles. Never seems to be described as either "Australian" or "American".

Note that ironically even many of Vidal's admirers and reviewers including director Nicholas Wrathall conspicuously "forget" to point out let alone stress that the prolific satirical writer and fearless political dissident was also - especially later in life - an outspoken and fierce critic of Israel and its oppression of the Palestinian people - eg. see for example:

"US writer slams Israeli longterm military, economic and geographic practice whose political aim is nothing less than the liquidation of the Palestinian nation"
    at https://sites.google.com/site/palestiniangenocide/vidal

Most commentators by contrast perversely/predictably have no problem recounting how the younger Vidal occasionally accused fellow writers, commentators, public figures etc of anti-semitism - yet almost all fail to mention his condemnation of Israel's "genocidal" policies perpetrated against Palestinians and Gaza.

Oh - and not many people know that convention-thwacking Vidal never attended or applied to attend any university...unlike for example university graduate Seymour Hersh...

Wikipedia's Gore Vidal pages are worth reading - but they too conspicuously omit any reference to his pro-Palestinian condemnation of Israel:

Note that the docu also relates how Gore Vidal was initially a fan of Christopher Hitchens - but later slammed him and ditched him when he came out in support of the Iraq war.
