    This seems to me to be an attempt to make the orange dumpster fire look good by claiming the documents he (may or may not have) illegaly retained are vital evidence in the deep state plot against him. To be honest I don't doubt some elements of said deep state would have been keeping a very close eye on him whle he was in office given he wasn't really a part of the politcal machine and I'm sure there was plenty of meddling going on but the truth of this document stuff will probably come down to what it always does with Trump; what can I get out of it?

    The timing of all this is quite interesting mind you as they start the run-in to the mid-terms and if he gets convicted of some of the things that are being thrown around he would not be able to run in two years time so I'm willing to accept that the deep state/political establishment is trying to sabotage a repeat run by him at the same time as thinking this attempt to whitewash more wrong doing by the fat fascist is not on the money.
